Par is an Indian born Canadian maker who lives and works in Toronto. Her oil paintings are a critique on the societal perceptions of the millennial generation.Being a millennial herself, it is an attempt to portray this generation in an honest light. She examines the relationship between the viewer and the viewed; the muse and the artist; sitter and painter; object and subject and the real and imaginary through her pictures. Her work celebrates mundane domestic scenes, overlooked mannerisms, familiar objects and the banality of the everyday.
